Welcome to Woodhenge Class

Welcome to term 5.

During the summer term we are learning about the Magna Carta and it's importance in history and today. In English, we are created fact files about animals that we might find along the river following our river topic last term. Then  we will read Kaspar, Prince of Cats by Michael Morpurgo and use this text to inspire  our writing to end this term and start next term. In maths, we are revising our Year 5 core curriculum to fill in gaps and get ready for Year 6. Science has been very exciting with a revision of the skeleton and muscles and whistle top tour of the digestive system and detailed learning about the circulatory system.

Other subjects cover the following:

RE - Sikhism - How do Sikhs show their commitment to god?

Music - Dancing the Street with keyboard playing

PE - Cricket and Summer Sports

PSHE - Relationships to do with online gaming and social networks

Art - Street Art

French - Chez Moi

If you have any questions, please talk to the class teachers who are available at the school gate (Year 5 entrance on Kitchener Road alongside the Staff Car Park).
